FAQ

Does ePay change our approval or attachment decisioning process?

No. Your existing approval and attachment decision-making processes stay in place. ePay changes how the required payment is collected by bringing the payment step into the Alden ONE Conversation. It does not change who approves the work or how approval decisions are made.

What payment methods can attachers use with ePay?
Attachers can use either ACH or credit card. You configure which options are available based on your policy.
Who decides how the transaction fee is handled?
The asset owner chooses whether to pass the fee through or absorb it. Either way, all fees are disclosed transparently before payment, and a receipt is provided to the payer.
How often do I receive payouts?
Payouts are aggregated and can be scheduled at 7, 15, or 30 days. Alternatively, you can set up a custom cadence aligned to your billing cycle and general ledger close dates.
Is my payment data secure in ePay?
Yes. Alden ONE stores only transaction reference numbers. Stripe’s PCI-compliant infrastructure handles all sensitive card and ACH data. Our client's payment information is never stored in Alden ONE.
Can we roll ePay out gradually?
Yes, and that's what we recommend. Most clients start with one or two high-volume workflow steps, such as attachment permitting applications or make-ready cost acceptance, and expand from there.
